Of course why not stack the Gold Cup on top of the Club World Cup. I’ll be honest I got my dates mixed up and thought that this tournament started on the 17th when someone reminded me that no it actually starts tonight with Mexico taking on the Dominican Republic.
Because I got my dates mixed up I don’t have time to simulate the entire tournament, but maybe if time permits me I can do it for the knockout stage.
This tournament will be taking place in the United States and Canada with 15 CONCACAF teams and Saudi Arabia. Top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage and from there it will be single elimination, just like any other international tournament.
For the USMNT, they are bringing a semi-full roster with some notible stars like Cristian Pulisic, Florian Balogun, and Weston McKennie taking the summer off.

Mexico won the previous Gold Cup in 2023, so the United States will definitely have something to prove with the World Cup on home soil next summer.
Below are the individual match projections for the group stage.
One note for the projections: Guadeloupe is not a part of FIFA and I have no data on them, so they are not included in the projections.
