Arsenal vs. Real Madrid
Tuesday, April 8th at 3pm ET
Now that Arsenal has Bakayo Saka back and healthy, I would expect them to try to play through the wide areas and that is honestly the best place to attack Real Madrid. Real Madrid continue to have to play Lucas Vazquez at right backs and it’s up in the air as to whether Ferland Mendy is going to be available for this match so Camavinga may have to play left back.
Real Sociedad was did fantastic job not only created 4 v 2 or 4 v 3 overloads in the first phase of build up, but it also kept pulling Valverde or Tchouaméni out wide.
Arsenal was trying to create a box midfield and play through the middle of Everton’s defensive block, but really had no luck, mainly because they were taking a very low risk approach.
